The Western Aboriginal Harm Reduction Society is an organization of Indigenous people who are current and former users of illicit drugs and/or illicit alcohol. We live, work and play in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
WHAT WE DO
The Western Aboriginal Harm Reduction Society is involved in activism, research, healing, harm reduction, community-building, and more. We’re passionate about our community, and are working to support our members.
WAHRS partnered with the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS to conduct ground-breaking research on our members’ experiences accessing healthcare, accessing addictions treatment, with HIV and with research.
